FUNDS NEEDED FOR AIR CONDITIONING UNITS
An upgrade to the air conditioning system at the church is needed this spring. Two of the six units, the ones that cool the sanctuary and nave, must be replaced soon. It’s likely the other four units will need to be replaced in the coming year or two.
The cost of the entire project is now quoted at $21,400. We are at $18,278.19 and out that amount we have paid in full the replacement of the Air Conditioners. We have taken $3,130.31 from the Building Fund for the balance. Further contributions to the Air Conditioner Fund will replenish the funds taken from the building fund.
The Church Council has approved a fundraiser within the congregation to raise the needed monies for the project. The goal is to prevent the depletion of the current Building Fund.
Place the special gifts in the collection plates or mail them to the church with the funds earmarked for the Building Fund – Air Conditioning.
Over the years members of Immanuel have always come through with generous gifts when a need arises. We thank you in advance for your financial support for the church, which will mark the 175th anniversary of its founding in 2019. Church Council

LUTHERAN NIGHT AT THE TINCAPS will be July 22nd at 7:05PM. Dead line for early bird drawing for chance at autographed team apparel, $50 gift certificates and chances to throw out a first pitch is June 24th. Information and order forms are on the tables in the east entrance and at the back of the church.

BAZAAR

Immanuel Family,

It is with a sad heart that Sherri and Sheila have decided to no longer
co-chair our annual Fall Bazaar. Ecclesiastes 3:2, 6 says it well: 2, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 6, a time to keep, and a time to cast away.
Many Many Many years ago, a seed was planted in our congregation and the idea of the Bazaar was born and grew. We have had a wonderful time all these years in work, fellowship, getting the local communities involved, and financially supporting/helping those that need help.
Our world as we know it is changing, and our congregation is aging, so as it says in Ecclesiastes it is time to pluck up that which was planted and cast it away.
We have been unable to have enough helpers to help with the Bazaar. We thank everyone for the help that they have given these last 4 years. We have had great fellowship and formed memories that we can all cherish. We are proud of our Church family for everything thing they have been able to give and do with their time and talents.
May we pray for Knowledge and Understanding as Ephesians 1:18 says; “That the eyes of our understanding be enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling”.
May we find that calling for our Church, so we may continue in God’s work, fellowship, and support those doing His work, in another way.

Immanuel,
Sherri/Shelia
Bazaar co-chairs
2014-2018
