GIVING FOR CHRISTMAS – Father, may I go through this Christmas season not looking to get, but looking to bless others with Your love as I encourage their hearts and help lighten their load. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

As the Christmas season has begun, we have not adopted an area family in need for our Giving Tree. However, my heart has been pulled to the families and communities in the California wildfire areas.  To think about their day to day living needs, of food, clothing, housing, bills, maintaining a job, it’s heartbreaking to think of those in the wildfire areas, as they have NOTHING left but ashes.  We will be collecting your donations through the end of the year. Then send a check to the California District for them to manage for those affected by the recent fires.  Please use your envelopes in the collection plate for your special gifts to be added to your contributions for the year, otherwise you will find gift wrapped boxes at each doorway/table. Feel free to share this project with friends and family that may want to participate.  A hefty goal of $5000 has been set, but that is only a mere drop in the bucket for one family let alone the many families in need.  Please keep all of these individuals in yours prayers and give this project your prayerful consideration through this season of thankfulness and of giving to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.  Elizabeth

CHURCH DECORATIONS will be taken down today following morning worship.

BAZAAR – There are copies of the “Guidelines For Immanuel Lutheran Bazaar” sheet on the tables in the east entrance and the back of the church for anyone interested in keeping the Bazaar going. Please pick one up to review. Any questions contact Sherri and Shelia.

We are looking forward to second semester with your children and seeing new faces too!
